I am researching the family of Ellen/ Elnor Snedeker and her husband Rafe/ Ralph R. Conover. Ralph Conover was born in 1811 in Middlesex County, New Jersey . In 1835, he is a resident of Newark, New Jersey and is married to Elnor. They have 2 children in New Jersey before moving to Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana in either 1838 or 1839. Aaron and Mary Jane. Ralph R.and Elnor are buried with my gg grandparents, William and Catherine Warth Conover in a Terre Haute cemetery. A 3 rd Conover brother that I have documented was Samuel, married in 1835 in Newark to Sarah Frances Weeks. They are buried in Rahway ,New Jersey.

I have a very small amount of Snedeker research on this line but can tell you that Elnor Snedeker Conover's mother was Margaret Smock Snedeker. She is buried in Cranbury, New Jersey and her husband was John Snedeker.The grandfather was Isaac Snedeker and I believe he is from West Brunswick, New Jersey. There are several other children , a son James, but will need to read the Snedeker book to give you more info. Our cousin , Kathryn Conover, was researching Elnor . I will go through her info. There are several Snedeker families in Terre Haute today.
