Obituary Mary Josephine "Josie" Lloyd, 78, of Amarillo passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 3 pm in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Jerry Davey presiding. Mary was born on July 14, 1939 in Clovis, New Mexico to Elza and Callie Lloyd. She was married to Richard Lee Johnson for 29 years, 20 of which, she lived the life of military wife while raising their four children. She was a volunteer with the Amarillo Police Department for many years and had a great passion for sewing. She was preceded in death by her parents Elza and Callie Lloyd, sister Edith Daniell, and brother Dwayne Lloyd. She is survived by her sons Richard Johnson Jr of Alamosa, CO and Michael Johnson and wife Robin of Rio Rancho, NM; daughters Melinda Wilson of Amarillo, and Ramonica Pierce and partner Shannon Kuster of Canyon, TX; sisters Bernice Hodges, Shirley Simpson, and Connie Hawkins; son in law Billy Pierce; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandsons.
