According to a 1920 census, Jessie, wife of Ralph Hood, had living with them a girl named Violet Check. She is listed as Ralph's step-daughter and her age is 16. Jessie would have been about 17 years of age so it's possible that Violet is Jessie's daughter. I also found where Violate is appearing in a 1930 census with a last name of Furr, age 26 and a male child named Terry, (age 1). This census has her living with Ralph and Jessie Hood.
