Lorene Brewer Campbell, 91, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at her home. She was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Drakesboro to George Brewer and Carrie Hines Brewer. Mrs. Campbell was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Campbell in 2002; two sisters, Faye Starosta and Marie Brown; two brothers, Cecil Ray Johnson and James Way; and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Campbell. She is survived by a son, George Campbell of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Tammy (Roger) Bostick of Liberty, Ohio, Jeff (Debbie) Campbell of Owensboro; six great-grandchildren; a brother, George (Edna) Brewer of Saginaw, Minn.; and a sister, Rosa Urban of Bloomingdale, Ill. A private committal service will be at noon Wednesday at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky. Envelopes will be available at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. |
