Hattie Johnson, 75, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Jan. 30, 2015, at St. Bernards Medical Center. Hattie was born April 16, 1939, in Tupelo, Miss. She moved to Jonesboro from Hardy about three years ago. At Hardy, she owned and operated an ice cream parlor called "Hattie's." She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Johnson; parents; and two brothers. Survivors include her son, James "J.J." Johnson of Jonesboro; sister, Dubby Barnett of LeFery, Texas; brother, and George Stretch of Cherokee Village. A memorial service was held. |
