Her parents were Benjamin Bradford Forsythe and Martha Anderson. Esther and Freeland were married 25 Dec 1881 in Paris, IL. Their children were Flossie born 17 Jan 1883, Willie born 6 Aug 1885, Maude born Oct 1889, Versa Rose born 13 July 1890 (my grandmother), Millie born Feb 1891, Elsie born 28 Mar 1892, Alma born 3 July 1893. Freeland's second marriage was to Margaret Alice "Maggie" Grass on 11 Mar 1896. His first wife Esther died 7 Sept 1893. Children born to Maggie were Edithe Aug 1897; Sherman, Hazel, Clifford, Holland 7 Jan 1911 and Violet. My grandmother was only 3 years old when her mother died. Maggie raised her.
