Daughter of William F. and Mary Polly (Callicott) Wade.

Married Simeon Walton Hines, September 15, 1823 in Lincoln County, KY

They had nine children together. Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" died shortly after giving birth to her ninth child who was born on February 29, 1840. Exact date of Betsy's death is unknown.

~NOTE~
"Betsy" and "Polly" (both Mary's) were sisters. Their mother was also a Mary and called "Polly". Sisters, Betsy and Polly, married Hines brothers; Simeon Walton and Walton Henry (also confusing with Walton in both their names).

There is much confusion over these two sisters and their names. Some documents record Betsy's name as Elizabeth, and have dropped the Mary.
