Clark County Democrat, Wednesday Eve., June 30, 1926, page 1: OBITUARY Roselta, oldest daughter of Keifer and Harriet Laufman was born near Oliver, in Edgar County, in February, 1850, where she grew to womanhood and at the age of 20 was united in marriage to Garrett Snedeker, to which union six children were born, four of these, and the husband, having preceded her in death. Mrs. Snedeker who is known by many Clark County people spent her entire life in Edgar County. She has lived in Paris, for several years, where she passed away at her home on West court Street following an illness of two years duration, due to the infirmities of an advanced age, and a broken hip caused by a fall. She is survived by two children, Fannie of Wisconsin, and Daisy at home, two grand sons, two brother, Ed Laufman of Reno, Nevada, and William Laufman of Buffalo, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary McFarling of Terre Haute, Mrs. Maggie Forsythe of Oliver and Mrs. Hattie Campbell, of near Marshall. The funeral was held at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon from the Morrison Chapel with Rev. Anderson of the Christian Church of Paris, officiating. Burial was in the Edgar Cemetery. |
