More than one family member has reported that Eloise was not a very pleasant older lady.
She lived with her son Harry Eugene for quite some time, (around the early 1960's starting in Atlanta, GA.

It's been said that she worked cleaning and in restaurants and that she would bring home leftovers for the kids to eat. (not sure which kids were at home)

When I was a child, my father used to tell me that we were related to Hoot Gibson, the famous cowboy silent picture star. I researched this pretty thoroughly and can't find any evidence of this. - RF 2012

Eloise Jarrell was born on May 02, 1902 and died on October 01, 1982 at the age of 80. This person last resided in Pasadena, California in Los Angeles County. Eloise Jarrell was assigned the social security number (SSN) of: 305-24-1363.

Buried in the Garden of Divinity, Lot 22-B, Crestlawn Cemetery, Riverside, CA

Eloise was born in 1902 and lost her mother, Lelah, to consumption in May of 1903.

Sometime after this, Eloise, along with her sisters Mary Helen and Elma C., were sent to orphanages in Indiana.

Their names appear on US Census reports over the next few years as residents of the orphanages.

In the 1920 census, Eloise appears be living with her older step-sister, Jessie E. (Gibson) Hood and her husband, Ralph. Eloise was 17 at this time. I am unaware of a legal guardianship. -- Rick Forsythe 2013
