Donald R. Hester, 54 of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home. Donald was born on November 2, 1956 in Owensboro. He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed building 3-wheelers and football, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Louis Hester; and a niece, Denessa J. Hester. He is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Hester; 3 daughters, Rashawna (Billy) Robertson, Diana Thomas, and Brittany Williams all of Owensboro; 1 son, Eric Ray Hester of Owensboro; 7 grandchildren; 1 brother, Phillip E. (Terri) Hester of Owensboro; 5 sisters, Vicki Marksberry, Robin Hester Griffith, Debbie (Barr) Gordon, Venessa Hester and Mary (Jake) Rogers all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
