Obituary: Catherine A. Alleven, 49, died unexpectedly on Wednesday Sept. 19, 2012, in Columbia. A remembrance and celebration of her life will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Orr Street Studios, 106 Orr St. in Columbia. Cathi was a loving mother, loyal daughter, devoted sister and special friend to many. Her hobbies were listening to music, reading, playing card games, spending time with family and friends, and enjoying the arts. She was a longtime employee of University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics. Cathi is survived by her children, Andrew and Nicole; her siblings, Franklyn, Patrick, Lucinda, Molly and Colleen; and her father, Frank. Donations may be made to the Columbia Art League in lieu of flowers. |
